| The reason that my family chose to affiliate with TRAVEL PLANNERS INT'L, is because TPI does NOT do their own bookings, so they're never tempted to steal our clients from us (like my previous host companies). TPI never attempts to try to impress my customers by including their list of awards, accolades and direct contact phone numbers on every form, e-mail and invoice sent to our clients. With The Cruise lines using more "sneaky tricks" in finding ways to get our clients to call them directly (CELEBRITY and Azumara just came out with brochures that listed their OWN personal cruise planners' phone number ON EVERY PAGE. Imagine - we're passing those brochures out to OUR customers! Princess is using a LARGER phone number and web site (and in more areas in the brochures), so that our regular stickers cannot cover them anymore. We don't need to worry about my host agency pulling the same stunts. TPI is also more user-friendly & costs less in total affiliation expenses and fees then the other companies that we had previously affiliated with. Kudos to the executive board of TPI to come out with THE BEST host-affiliation model in the industry! |

| I am writing this because I have also learned the hard way. In April 2008, I signed up with a host, which I will not mention, as I do not want to bash any host or anyone. I did not do enough research as I was looking to be able to get myself started and trusted the hype without looking into it any further. I got burned. I never received one cent of commissions owed to me. I have since moved on to Travel Planners International as of the end of August and cannot be happier. What a difference a good host can make. I just want everyone to know their are good hosts out there, but to be very careful of the Sharks and Scams. |

I found the entry-level Travel Agent Training course to be educational, informative and even a little challenging. I took the entire course & passed my final exam with a 93 in just 3 DAYS! The material was presented in a timeline that made sense in relation to the business, and the text in each chapter easy to follow and understand. The range of material covered in this course is exactly what somebody looking to learn this business needs to know to get started; the text book will become a valuable resource of guidance and information for me, especially early on, in my business. At 4:28p today, Feb. 20, 2008, I contacted Cassandra Housand, your New Account Support Manager, regarding two of my Agents IATAN cards that had not received their new IATAN cards even through the paperwork had been submitted to IATAN in November. One of my very-stressed sub-agents, Becky, was leaving for vacation tomorrow morning with clients, and wanted a supporting document that indicated she was an agent representing Travel Planners International since IATAN had not yet issued her card or had her on the IATAN list. I called Cassandra at 4:30 PM and she explained the procedure for getting an Agent Verification Letter for Becky. While Cassandra and I were discussing the situation, Cassandra sent another email to our representative at IATAN to again inquire about the status of the cards for these Agents who were qualified to received them. At 5:11 PM, the Agent Verification Letter was received in my email. Now, if that isn't great service, what is?! Thanks...Cassandra for being understanding and acting quickly! Happy agent since 7/19/05.

The commands I was entering were all invalid. With Maria's assistance I was able to get the PNR finished and booked so I could go to the next priority. I just spent some time with Nivea (ext.8235) trying to find a reasonable fare and itinerary for a very "high maintenance and upscale" client. This was for 2 business class tickets from Honolulu to Singapore and returning from Bangkok. It's a long story why I was doing this, but that's not important. After spending several hours on the phone with several airlines, each of which kept passing the buck onto the other, I called TPI and got Nivea. One early morning recently in July 07, I was awakened by the phone to hear on the other end "They have canceled our flights!" This is not the way I wish to awake. Somehow my client’s flights had been canceled. They were told that their agent had canceled them, which was not correct. I called TPI's 24 Hour Reservation number, but was not able to get any information that would explain what had happened. I was able to work with the agent at the airport to get my clients on another flight (different airport) without being charged the change and/or the cancellation fee. But they were charged the increased fare. Within minutes after 9:00am, I received a call from Vicki at TPI letting me know that they were aware of the problem with my client’s flights. Vicki was very helpful and re-assuring that she would help with the problem. This was a relief. I was very pleased and amazed that TPI was on top of this problem without my calling them. Vicki finally figured out that due to a fluke in the system the flights were canceled for non-payment, even though they had been paid. She was also able to work with the airlines to get my clients money refunded for the increase air fare. My clients were pleased, it made me and TPI look amazing. And I didn't have a melt down. Vicki was also willing to (with a very good attitude) to help me rebook my clients car rental when the electricity in my home when out. Vicki you are NUMBER ONE! Thank you Vicki and TPI,

I have been with Travel Planners International since January of this year (2007). I did a lot of research before choosing a new host agency because of the issues I had with my previous agency. I was a bit hesitant to work with an agency so far away from me (I am in Seattle), but I must say that TPI has exceeded my expectations on more than one occasion. Not only do my general help questions get answered in a very timely manner (how refreshing to actually be able to talk to a live person when I call), but the access to the decision makers in the company is amazing. I recently had some questions regarding a legal issue. I e-mailed Kim Sherrett who was my first contact with TPI. I don't believe that it would be wise for to break away from your organization even after I receive my own IATAN number because the expense for me to have my own website, the forms for tracking my clients and expenses would be way more than what I pay out per month now. We were having trouble with our computer locking up when entering the payments for our large group cruise. We called the office and spoke to Marie Rendino in the TPI HelpDesk. Hello – I just returned from the Alaska Seminar on Celebrity Summit (09/09/06 - 09/16/06). Having been with TPI for over 5 years, I always try to attend as many of these events as my budget will allow. As usual, the sessions were well planned, organized and enlightening. Ms. Ashley Vaughn in the TPI Marketing Dept. for provided an excellent agenda – kudos to her! These seminars are so beneficial, not only for the training they provide but for the opportunity to become acquainted and develop friendships with other TPI agents and the District Sales Manager for the cruise line. We meet to exchange ideas, suggestions and generally "brainstorm" with each other. Only one suggestion for consideration would be to organize a "group" shore excursion to further enhance our learning experience. As someone who has just graduated an accredited travel school program and is completely new to the industry other than being a leisure traveler, the decision to become a home-based agent or attempt to get hired in a "brick and mortar" agency is a bit overwhelming and frustrating at times. I wanted to have the flexibility that working from home provides, but the support of having people around in an office situation with experience to help when the need arose. The problem was I couldn't get hired without experience and couldn't get experience without getting hired. I finally decided, with a little trepidation, that I would be a home-based agent. After researching several host agencies, I made the decision to join with Travel Planners International. Although it has only been a couple of weeks and I am still in the process of getting my business up and running, I have nothing but excellent praise for everyone at TPI. Mark Miley was quick to respond in setting me up with the access that I needed. He was prompt and attentive in his e-mails and didn't mind that I e-mailed him several times, and I believe on occasion, asked the same question. Since gaining access, I have had to contact the TPI HelpDesk with more questions. Ileana Rivera, with whom I spoke, was knowledgeable and quick to respond to my requests, and helping me with my problem. When e-mailing agent relations regarding my sub agent request, Kim Sherrett, responded to my request explaining to me why it was taking a little longer (someone was out ill), and then she proceeded to search to see if the information for my sub agent was in your office, and then promptly stated that my request would go to priority status (which was not necessary, but greatly appreciated). Everyone I have encountered at TPI has made me feel welcome and with each passing day I feel more comfortable and more confident that I made the right decision to switch careers and to have TPI in my corner. |

I started with TPI a little over a year ago. The only experience I had was the many cruises I had taken but as you either know or are finding out quickly, there is more to being a travel agent than just enjoying travel. I probably needed more assistance than most new agents. Fortunately I received advice and guidance from several staff members. In particular, Kim Sherrett has always been patient and understanding. Marie has also been a great person to turn to for assistance. Both have always promptly returned calls and emails. Marie knows the business inside and out. She has been where you are now. I think Kim has made it her personal goal to encourage personal development and happiness among all new agents. Without detailing the events of the past year I'd like to let all newcomers know TPI is a great, solid Host agency. Communication is key to any relationship and this one is no different. If you need assistance and don't know exactly who to call - call the help desk. Kim and Marie have been my "go to" partners but there are many other knowledgeable people working in the office. You will find what you need. If you have a specific problem, they want to know. If you don't tell the staff about problems they will not get fixed. Both TPI and I have grown and improved throughout the past year. Florida for many years, I decided it was time for a change, but I really didn't want to get out of the travel business completely; nor would my long time customers allow me to do this. | I'm an Independent Travel Agent and have been for more than a decade. I'm also a Lead Instructor for a travel school locally. This year marks my thirty fifth year in the Travel Industry. Over the years, I have certainly seen a lot of changes. The one thing that still remains constant in my mind is the enthusiasm and excitement that I feel with the Travel Industry. Even with all the changes, I still enjoy the business. I still find the industry challenging and enlightening. In 1994, I did the Home Travel Business as a full time profession. That year was my most lucrative in the business. The quality time that I had with my family was incredible! The thing that was so amazing to me is although, it's called a Home Base Business, and I was constantly on the go, meeting new people and doing new things. I believe in this so much, that I have even developed curriculum for a Home Base Business course. I look forward in my life that I will again be able to do this myself, and spend more time with my family .I have been affiliated with Travel Planners International for the last six years. I find that they are extremely professional. Their staff is friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. They definitely go the extra mile to help in every area possible, such as marketing, advertising, and consulting. I have been at other agencies, and I have really felt the term "Outside Agent", like I was truly an outsider. At Travel Planners International, there is no inside or outside agents. As an outside agent, I have been with the Company long enough to make a number of observations. First of all, every one has gone out of his way to make me feel comfortable and welcomed. I feel this has benefited me tremendously and contributed to my success as an agent. However, there is some one who stands out as far as I am concerned. This individual happens to be Mary Jones. Ever since I can remember, Mary has always been there to answer my questions. And Ken, over the course of time, I have had a lot of questions, as I am sure she can attest. I call her numerous times during the day and she is never bothered. Whenever I walk into the Agency, Mary is the first person I look for. There have been times that I have interrupted her lunch and she still takes the time to assist me. She has been a real help in teaching me short cuts and the "tricks of the trade." I am fully aware that she has her other duties as well but Mary will drop what she is doing and goes to great lengths in order to help me. She is never rude and is always pleasant to me. The exception is when I forget to bring her in the money from my clients that I promised. However, you would be surprised how quickly those payments are delivered afterward. As you are aware Ken, in my other position, I work closely with people who display all types of personalities. However, one thing that I have learned over the years is, no matter how difficult the individual he is still your customer. Thus, regarding the clients we serve, we are all obligated to deliver excellent customer service. I believe Mary excels in this area. I am sure that you consider yourself fortunate to have Mary as well as such a fine staff working for you. It is because of Mary and other professionals like her that I plan to be with your Agency for a long time to come. It is a real pleasure to be associated with Travel Planners International. Looking back over the past couple of years, I Came to realize something…That it's due to all the fantastic people who make up a great team at T.P.I. Which has resulted in my success and allowed the high level of "satisfaction, I have brought to my clients. The support and training I have received from everyone at T.P.I. is above and beyond any I have received at other host agencies. Over four years has gone by in our business relationship, and I thought this was a perfect opportunity to write to let you know how happy I am to be affiliated with your company. It is encouraging to see TPI growing and moving ahead in such a challenging environment. I was very pleased with the training I received from TPI. As you know after graduation I became an outside agent for Travel Planners International. Even though I felt I was ready to begin my career as a vacation specialist, I quickly realized that there was a significant amount of additional support I needed in order to be an efficient and effective travel agent. Your entire office staff has been extremely patient and supportive. If there is something I need support with, I feel very comfortable calling and asking for assistance. Everyone in the office is very knowledgeable about the travel industry. The support I have received has been varied from very simple tasks to more difficult situations. I have received assistance with recommendations of places to suggest my customers stay while on their vacation, booking airfare with difficult connections, setting up group accounts. No matter how simple or difficult the question is, the inside sales staff has been very willing to assist. Recently I was on a cruise for myself in New York, and I had a customer call me needing airfare. I called the office and Peggy booked the flights and made sure the tickets were sent to my client. I could not ask for an agency to be more supportive. The support has been phenomenal. I truly have enjoyed the continuing education classes that you offer. It is wonderful to be kept abreast of the changes in the industry. Also, meeting the various suppliers and learning about their product assists in selling the product. | Do I have the greatest job? Do I have the greatest bosses? You bet I do!!!. I was a client with TRAVEL PLANNERS, INT. first, then an employee. They took a chance on an inexperienced travel agent, having just finished travel school. Hopefully, it has paid off for them. When I decided I wanted to go to travel school, my husband wasn't keen on the idea. So I asked the school if I could work off my tuition. They told me nobody had ever asked to do that before. I wanted it and was willing to work for it. So I worked in the recruiting office during the day and went to classes at night. I love my job and I feel I do a wonderful job for my clients. I go the extra mile for them, and am happy to do it. I am TRAVEL PLANNERS, INT.'S only outside agent, outside the state of Florida. Everyone is impressed when I tell them this, It is something I am very proud of! The support staff is always there (for my many questions) and to offer advice. They never act like I'm a bother. | Retiring early from the corporate world I found myself searching for a position where I could have my own business while working from home. With so many bogus ads about big money while working at home I settled on the travel business where I could make a decent salary while having the benefits of traveling as a travel consultant. Investigating many local travel schools I am glad I settled on Travel Planners International. The first impression was made when you called personally to give me background and overview of your agency. You answered all of my questions and too the time necessary to make me feel at ease. I secretly wondered if it was just a smoke screen (it was not). Since completing my independent contractor agreement, I have received nothing short of the best level of service I could expect. I received a welcome package full of literature, brochures, and usefully documents, many of the items included where the items where discussed in our phone call (that says you paid attention). I contacted Michelle in your office for help on my Sabre set up; she handled it like a true professional, with an award wining attitude (and in this industry attitude is everything). I have also had contact with Ken and Erwing, both where very helpful and very pleasant. I was totally blown away when Brenda called me out of the blue to see how I wa doing and asked if I had any questions. She was very pleasant and helped me with the few questions that I had. There was one question she could not answer and she agreed to find the answer and call me back. I received the written instructions via fax a few minutes later, along with a personal note from her. To date, everything that you and I discussed has happened, there have been no surprises. I received my first commission check, again no surprises and best of all no hassle, no commission from to submit. I have and will continue to recommend your agency to others. |
